Which other manufacturers could you send a 5 year old out of warranty unit, that you have physically broken the antenna off, tell them you broke it and would like to pay to have it fixed, and have it returned FOC???
I have a Garmin 276C 18 months old, still under warrenty, when the battery or charge facility went down. Posted it Thursday pm , a brand new complete unit arrived in the post on the Tuesday. Not bad a four day turn around. A big thank you to Garmin

My GPS292, bought in March this year suddenly had a (50%) display screen failure. I posted it to Garmin last Wednesday and today received a brand new replacement ; complete in box with antenna, protective cover, fixings etc etc.
