Alu Extrusion for Lighting Board

Anyone know whether it is possible to get a length of aluminium extruded section similar to the white plastic section that is used on lighting boards. Looking for something that is a little more resistant to abrasion against tarmac

Think I have seen what I am looking for on the backs of trucks.

Cheers
Richard

Yes extruded Ali is available from a number of sources but the guys we use are

However given that this stuff is designed to be loadbearing in an industrial situation you may find it a bit on the heavy side.

If you can collect in Dunbar on 22nd or am of 23rd Jan or Chesterfield anytime you can have one 'I made earlier' foc.
It uses an ally extrusion for sideguards on box van trailers. Needs a bit of modification to the mounting holes which had elongated where fitted to the pins on the std hockey stick brackets on a Snipe trailer
Peterhead is a long way away but not sure if you have access to transport or travel around ?
I moved to permanently fixed and wired lights so its surplus

Thanks for the offer Jeff but won't be by your way for a long time. Also will be looking for a pile - probably need one 2400mm for the catamaran.

What section did you use and where did you get it?

Also thinking of making a collapsable one made from stainless tubes (like a trombone) so I can use it on all three boats - 1 RIB + 2 cats.

Cheers
