I never bothered with this as I could not get it to work on either the clone or the real thing.
I just texted the number of the phone i wanted to authorise.

Sounds like an oxymoron
As mike-m admits to not beng technically minded calling the Tracker 10 times sounded easier than "Send SMS (admin+password+space+cell phone number)"
Getting the (spaces) and +'s in the wrong place can cause upset.
You pays your money...

Clone?
Now I'm confused?
Bought the unit from David at Xexun, but from what you have said the unit is a clone! Noticed a few minor differences in for instance the SIM card loading slot.
I thought David was supposed to be the real deal?

As you can see it is very small - I've taken a picture with it next to a Blackberry Curve for comparison

I have the unit fitted and all the bits in your photos with the exception of the book- is this the instruction book? Or are all instructions on the discs

Blimey Ian - I struggle to remember last week - I didn't look to check the disc for the manual - are you at the Christmas dinner as I can take a photocopy for you (provided I can find where I put it!!)

I will fire up the disc on main system later to see what it has but cant open it on this laptop. The fitting was done by boat suppliers so I have a guess the book is in their yard. I have yet to charge and fire it up with a SIM so need the instructions. I am not able to get to dinner but I will pm an address if it is simple to copy and not expensive.
CANCEL that J- my mainframe has started the small disc and one has the instructions so no need to do that photocopying cheers for offer-

Ok, Leapy and others who bought the GSM GPS TRACKER, I have now managed to set the unit up and can send texts to it for locations etc.
Without giving your secuirty away- what do most do
-Set it to move alerts once the boat is off the water or
- set what levels?
Just trying to set mine at appropriate level- basically if the boat is taken I can send message to find it and also set to notify me if boat moved when I dont expect it

Updates
I have a demon unit but in an effort to keep everyone up to date, what has changed with trackers? new kit being used? Any other recommendations? Faults found? Good points? etc
I met with Demon at a show and they were almost complete with a new system and also had a recent enquiry to recommend a unit.
I am guessing the down side for our units will be waterproofing or lack of it so they need carefull positioning. Up side- low purchase costs and low running costs and so far have been reliable

Have a look at red knows minifinder. Downside is price. Upside is ease of set up, very good ease of use either a remote or your phone, plus ease of settings adjustment done on line on a web site. Very good set up.

continued reviews of my system shows how easy it is to use. Set movement detection last night and electronics respond with updates. I deliberately left it set today to see how movement is notified and was texted with updates with grid refs which I put into google and showed me RIB on River Itchen. Scary big brother but price is right and unit easy to use. I know there are some great systems out ther for use but this has proved great on price, ease of use and apparently very accurate.
