anyone tried the raymarine dragonfly?

I saw these on display at the boatshow and they looked mighty impressive.

Has anyone actually tried one and what are they like at deeper depths(40/50m)

Where's the best price for one at the mo?

Wow she must be a really special lady to want a birthday present like that - you're a very lucky bloke.

The lowrance and the d/fly screen shots of the "down scan" sonar seem almost identical in detail...
I'll quiz the bods at the show on the differences!

I have the Dragonfly and the Navionics Gold sd.
The screen is great. Very easy to view even in bright sunshine with polarised glasses. The controls are very easy to use, especially the map zoom and switching views. The sounder and map function are excellent. The jury is still out on the DSI function.
There are some things that I don't like such as the huge 8" transducer - I'm worried I'm going to prop it.
The main thing I don't like is the crappy slot cover for the SD card. There is absolutely no way this waterproof or ipx6 or ipx7 rated. There is a very real risk of getting water ingress and ruining the £160 gold card as well as the unit. I will be taping this shut in future.
I'm also not a fan of the unit stand. Its unnecessarily tall and fiddly and very plastic when compared to Garmin.

Overall great value and very easy to use. But the Lowrance Elite 5 HDI is just out for similar money which looks like a good unit to.

seriously is the transducer 8" ? I would be worried it would get broken too easily especially when considering all the movement a boat gets in a dry stack environment.
