APN setup on GPS tracker

I'm not having any success seting up a GPS Tracker Amazon.
I can get a position report on my phone but I cannot get it to appear on the web page. It just says it's offline.

Sim is on Tesco mobile and according to Google the APN user name is tescowap and the password is password

I send an sms to device #apn#123456#tescowap#password
It replies with "apn ok"

I then send to device
#adminip#123456#202.104.150.75#9000#
It replies with "adminip ok"

Any pointers where I might be going wrong because the manual is (very poorly) translated from Chinese.

Ah,I think you bought a clone of the Xexun tracker.

Check the Xexun site ( http://www.xexun.com ) with the IMEI number. If it's a genuine Xexun product I've got a PDF of the manual here which is somewhat easier to understand.

You might have to try the IMEI number several times to check it-sometimes it doesnt open the popup box for me.

The genuine Xexuns don't use '#' in the instructions.

Ironic the chinese have R&D' (rip off and duplicate) a chinese product.

It seems the clones use a # inplace of a space.

Tracker replies ok after each command, IP (202.104.150.75), apn (prepay.tesco-mobile.com), apnuser (tescowap), apnpassword (password)

If I ping the IP from my laptop I do get a response, so something is on the end, but fails to open a web page...

If you have an Ibone, there's an app that can communicate with various trackers. It sort of puts a GUI front end to the tracker interface which allows you to communicate with the tracker in common sense rather than daft number strings & commands. I had it on my phone, but lost it when it "upgraded" (yeah right) to ios6. It's on the app store, search under GPS tracker.
