Armchair chart plotting?

Evening all.

I'm looking at new chartplotters and there are too many choices!
I'm happy with screen size, chart choice, transducers for looking into the murky depths, gps refresh rate, NMEA network potential (standby for questions in the Autumn) etc., etc.

Can anyone give me some advice about which chart plotters sync wirelessly?

Specifically, I'm interested to know how people do their route planning at home and then upload it onto the boat's hardware wirelessly?
Which manufacturers provide this facility? Or is it better to transfer using micro-sd?

"Navionics Plotter Sync" seems to work with Raymarine Plotters, according to the information superhighway.

I'm guessing some of you are well set up in this regard, so any and all advice welcome.

Plotter sync now works with Lowrance/simrad
You can also buy navplanner that uses your lowrance Navionics charts on your PC. This allows you to view charts/create waypoints/ routes etc & transfer them to your plotter via ad card.
