attention northstar f210 fuel computer owners....

Hi all,

just got mine and am about to fit it but i have a question. The manual says that you should connect it directly to the battery, which would mean it is on ALL of the time. I would prefer to wire it into the ignition system so it is only on when the ignition is on. Does anybody know if it has a memory? I.e if i wire it into the ignition will it remember how much fuel i have left when i next use the boat?

Thanks....

P.S i bought mine from www.rocktheboataudio.com they are dead cheap, their website handles international orders and they ship by USPS so shipping was about £15! You get full tracking info when they dispatch it, i got it 4 days after i ordered! Shame i got done for tax though by customs. O well, still well under half the ptice of if i bought it in the good old UK!

I have an Evinrude fuel meter connected to the ignition switch.
The memory keeps the values.

Almost all fuel meters have the same electronics inside.

I think it's the same as the Navman and mine is connected to ignition - that way you get engine hours when it's running as well.
