Yep
They are OK - however the radio can slip out the bottom if it is not secured tightly

Hmm ok thanks, see what you mean. Not much of an improvement on the pouch that I have got, where the radio could slip out the top.
You'd think there would be a ready market for a totally enclosed pouch that fits on lifejacket webbing to carry a VHF radio securely!

Snags:
* Depends where speaker is if it covers speaker / mike
* May obstruct buttons
* If on waist belt you can't hear it as well as shoulder. If on shoulder where does it go when the LJ inflates
Should be easy enough to make your own if you have access to a sewing machine. I'd make mine from neoprene. Cheap source - pound shop sell tablet sleeves/cases. Bit of webbing and some clips / elastic / you can custom design it to have access to buttons etc where you want them.

There is - I use these;
No idea who makes them, will try and find out but designed for purpose and works a treat, with the pinch clip and a small crab on the lanyard it's going now ehere.
