Battery cable

Guys

I am sure its been asking a million times before, I just can't seem to find the post which tell me what I want

I need to get new battery cable, probably about 3-4 meters, where can I get this from? Is there somewhere local in southampton, or is it better to order online? How much should I expect to be paying?

Thanks

Ben

Pop own to Barden Batteries in Segensworth (near Makro)
they keep just about any size of cable in stock. Also supply all the fittings you would need including lugs, splitters etc...
Their prices are going up 4.5% in June though.

Guys,

I am looking at this stuff here : Black Flexible 35mm² Battery Cable - CAB009 but, dont people normally recommend the thick stranded stuff? rather than lots of thin stuff?

This seems quite cheap, so worst case scenario I can do this for now, and replace later when I can find the thick core stuff

Just get the tinned from Safety marine, go for the 40mm and get the crimp ends too while you're at it, you can borrow or hire crimp tools from CEF or other electrical wholesalers, job done

Jim

About Safety Marine UK

Yes but I think they only do mail order but you could ring them?

How much are you looking for?

Yes Cities or any electrical wholesaler who sells kit for house bashing etc should have the crimp tool.

There is a load in my shed you are welcome to. It's tinned and 20mm + in diameter and we used the same stuff on Billy so you can be assured it's got the grunt Call Jasper or Britt to arrange collection. You'll also need the crimp eye terminals which is in my crimp bag and the large crimp tool. which is hanging from the rafter above the window. Ohhh I do so miss my shed

I have pm'd you the numbers!
