Battery life

I was handed back an old marine battery off our boat to see if we good get it recharged. I have a New CTEK Multi MXS 5.0 12V Car Battery Smart Charger & Conditioner | eBay
which I am using to try to bring it back to life. If after 14hrs the charge is incomplete is the battery dead, I managed before with a car battery over three days to bring it back

One of those chargers may well not have enough grunt to bring it back, but a large power industrial charger might..... My local independent motor factors offer a great reasonably priced charge service to try and recover batteries, Might be worth a try, if you have one somewhere local to you, but if it's been left totally flat for any length of time , then don't hold your breath..... Good luck

The cTek chargers aren't really designed for bringing a battery back from the dead, they are more a maintanence charger regardless of what the glossy box says.

I would put it on a decent charger and charge it as slow as possible. I set my charger to 2A/h, at this rate itl take roughly 3 days to charge a decent battery.
