Hmm, thanks for that Dino, thats about £100 less than I paid but I like the Garmin charts and its been used enough to justify the original cost.

Sorry for drifting of the subject,
But I need the best source for a navionics chip to fit a Raymarine 435, for the south west ??
have all raymarine gear on the yacht, but they all run c-map,, typical !!
you would have thought they would use the same ,

Aaah, while you are guiding us perhaps you can explain why this is so expensive presumably you have non of the expensive associates with a conventional chandlery and yet you are only marginally cheaper than a ‘high street’ store why aren’t you 25% cheaper Des

........... I am sure a good guide should point out that there is an upgraded version
Version 7.5 features include:
Includes Bloc Marine port services and Finnish Inland lakes
Includes data from Reeds Almanacs
Local charts for Croatia, Denmark, Faeroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland and Portugal
Updated coverage of Africa, Europe and the Middle East
Port services UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Italy and Denmark
Chart-specific information, including chart name, number, scale, revision date, latest Notice to Mariners date
Trip and waypoint management function lets you transfer waypoints, routes and tracks between your GPS and your PC
Faithful representation of published official paper charts
Object-oriented cartography
Shaded depth contours
Intertidal zones
Spot soundings
Port plans
Navaids with view range and coverage
Tides, wrecks, restricted areas and anchorages
......... or that V7 could be heavily discounted ?

cos I don't get enough to give 25% away!! short of selling the kids shoes so I can subsidise your boating!
Believe me or not, it isn't the retailers who make marine stuff expensive.
That other lot you mentioned, not sure when you looked but we have been building a whole new section to yachtbits showing all the new small charts, with that the prices have come down further and we do actually work out cheaper thand them if you are buying more than one item. Please recheck our site, you might have been looking at an old page!

I think gArfie is, in his tactful way, suggesting you pay a trade membership fee to JK if you're going to advertise on the forum.

Translation
Directly translated Garf's post reads:
"can I advertise you to the bit about trade membership"
in other words Garf thinks it was an advert and is trying to direct you to the following parts of the site:
Paid subscriptions:
http://www.rib.net/forum/subscriptions.php
General posting guidelines:
http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4920
Trade guidelines:
http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4921
If you are the "cheapest" place to buy these charts on the net then the £100 investment would soon be recouped from the increased no of purchases. I think Ribnet users are more likely to visit your site if you were upfront, admitted to being a trade member and paid the fee which supports the site.

Points Taken
hadn't even seen sub's page.
Do I earn credit towards it, if I provide technical advice that does link directly to a suggested sale!!?? for example interfacing of kit you've already bought elsewhere.
