Cobra HH350 handheld VHF

Has anyone got any experience of a Cobra HH350 handheld VHF?

I know it's not a favoured brand round here but wondered whether anything has improved with recent models?

Think it was the HH350 I tried a few years ago. Sound and range were fine. Did a float test with it and indeed it floated...also leaked so stopped working. Swapped it out for an Icom. I'd guess the HH350 would be fine in an aquapac or similar dry pack.

In that case I'd go with the Etec

It's not for me. I've already got more VHFs than I can use!

I just didn't want to slag off someone else's choice without doing a bit of due diligence

John - I bought an HH325 in 2013 when I lost my Entel HH on the RI.
It was all I could buy in the marina in Neyland and was a bit dubious, but its
surprisingly solid, and survived some pretty harsh conditions that week.
Its still going strong. Cant say anything specifically about the HH350 model, but
if its built as well as the 325 it should be fine.
