Extension Speaker

Can anyone recomend a small flush mounting extension speaker for a Navman 7100.

All the ones have been quite large that I have seen so far.

Many Thanks.

What size do you want?

You could try DS Developments

We do a nice one
SP24, 4" square.
£29 + VAT.

But would also recomend the D S kit.

I have to be honest and say that when i am poping along I can't here the radio, cos of the lovely noises that come out of my Optimax. I find the radio very handy however when the engine stops making a noise!

To be less flippant I wonder sometimes as to the possibility of having a radio that chucked out a blue tooth signal. Or are the freqencies / tekknollogees incompatable

We have been looking at this for our hand helds.
Works very well.
There are already waterproof bluetooth headsets out there.
If we can do it on the handhelds I am sure it won't be long before the technology migrates to fixed units.

I guess on a rib the options are intercom in helmates/headsets or a huge speaker and amp!!

If you are considering that D S again would be my first choice always.

A number of radio's now have speaker mic's as standard which does help.

Regards

I have just bought a 4" one from Low tension to replace the 2" one on Old Spice which has gone rusty. Can't vouch for how effective it is yet because I haven't got round to drilling the hole.

In the end I ordered a NASA extension speaker. Its not flush mounting but I'm sure I can adapt it, and it didn't cost too much.

I'l let you all know what I think of it. Its basically so I can hear the Radio over the old 2 Stoker I have. I can't hear it all now with the engine revving. Must be getting old.
