Fixed VHF/DSC Radio & Low Cost GPS Receiver

I am looking at getting a DSC radio. I have not got a chart plotter as yet but was wanting to have the DSC and GPS facility on the radio. Has any one tried the Evermore 320 http://www.emt.com.tw/uploadfile/pro...ile_SA-320.pdf or the The Veethree GPS Receiver. Both are available for around 100 notes giving a DSC radio for around 200 quid. The Veethree claims to meet the NMEA 0183 specification http://www.v3instruments.com/pdfs/gp...ver_lo_res.pdf

There is someone on ebay offering the following

Marine GPS RECEIVER & Cobra MR F55 EU DSC VHF

Any recommendations for the VHF radio or experiences would be appreciated

I also came across this but I guess it won't be in the UK until later in 2012

I have a Standard Horizon handheld DSC with build in GPS and it's excellent, so should imaging their fixed set with GPS will be a winner too.

Alternatively, any Handheld Garmin with a "serial out" (E.G. GPS 12 / 72/76 etc, all Etrex bar the very basic one of yore....) can be configured to push NMEA out the "serial port".

And you can get them on Fleabay for around £40 and can also be used to navigate, unlike the "domes".
