Float switch

Help!
Float switch knackered, fitted new on new wires from pump but still does not work but pump works independently. All comments and suggests welcome.

If your pump is running off a MAN-OFF-AUTO switch on the console, then this could be at fault.

Could be a wiring problem like corrosion. Have you held the float switch up for more than a few seconds. Some have a time delay to stop the pump operating immediately if the float switch accidently bounces up in rough conditions.
