Garmin 198C & Navicom RT450

I am trying to connect a Garmin 198C to a VHF Navicom TR450 for the DSC setup. I have followed both manufacturer wiring instructions but no joy. When I switch both on, the Navicom does not show the GPS cordinates and a sound alarm starts warning that there is no GPS data.

Any suggestions ?

Send a message via MSN to Jon Brooks
The Garmin output will be set to "Garmin Data" and not "NMEA" as standard.

You will need to press the menu button twice then scroll down to "comm port" or "data" cant remeber which then change the settings.

All the best
