Garmin Blue Charts

Ok I am thinking of upgrading my current pre programmed garmin card to a blank data card and a Blue Chart CD.

I have the following questions :-

1: What size card will I need (eg how big is the map for each area).
2: Where is the cheapest place to buy the CD / Card / Card Reader.
3: How much are the additional area unlock codes.
4: Does anyone want to buy my old pre programed card MEU463S (Bristol Channel and England S/W).

1 They vary. As an indication , my charts from the Humber right around the north and down to Northern Ireland are about 16meg.

2 Try Stevetheboat here on RN.

3 Can't remember (more than £100) but my update was about £80.

4 What price?

I reckon about £75 is a fair price - its this years chart and they are around the £110-£120 mark online

This is the chart I have now that will be surplus to requirements if I choose to switch to the cd version.

And heres a photo of the actual card and its box
