Garmin GPS / Raymarine Sounder Compatibility

Hi

We've a quick question, we're looking to replace my GPS from a Raymarine A65 to a newer Garmin unit (GPS Map 95sx).

The boat has a DSM25 Sounder unit which plugs into the Raymarine unit and works well.

The simple question is would / could we use the sounder unit to use it on the Garmin, or are each of the systems and companies independent of each other?

Many thanks

PB

I can’t answer your specific query. However I have found sounder manufacturers plugs are manufacture and age specific. Eg low ran errands changed number of pins and size of plug which governs which sounder you buy.
