Garmin GSD 20

Has anyone had any experience of the GSD 20?

I'm getting conflicting information from just about everywhere, including different people within Garmin.

As far as I can work out from the Garmin info on their website, the GSD20 is supposed to send sonar data to two GPS units and they therefore should both have sonar capabilities.

However, I’ve been told that;
1) The GSD 20 will only work with one 192C/182C/176C
2) The GSD 20 will work with two 192C/182C/176C units, but only one can receive sonar data at a time.
3) It will work with two 192C/182C/176C and they can both receive sonar data simultaneously.

As you can see Garmin seem to be clueless about what their product actually does. So I’m hoping someone has first hand experience of what the GSD 20 can and can’t do.

Thanks

Dunno but you can send the sounder info between two head units over nmea.

Sounder > unit 1 > unit 2.

But you probably know that.
