Gecko Helmet Radio Comms

Has anyone had any experience of the gecko headset / Simrad radio (HT51) for VHF comms?

Does the boom microphone and headset work well?

Or are there any cheaper alternatives?

Pete, I have bought several sets from Gecko to suit different radios and as yet have not had any negative feed back from the endusers
