Help needed to refurbish electronics

Little of what should be good kit works well;I get the feeling it really shouldn't be too hard to fix, but plainly I am not up to it. I can cope with computer wiring, but an awkward original installation makes it very hard to see or work on wiring. Boat has B&G speed/depth/wind;a/p head; Simrad plotter/radar. Simrad bits work, B&G do not. I'd like to get that fixed and install bigger plotter - can't read 7" job at any speed. A/p head will be deleted. There never was a drive unit.
Does anyone know of good tech company in or near Southampton? And how much per hour should I be expecting to pay for labour? Part of job is to interface an ultrasonic wind sensor. Mast head set is fine on a sailing boat but for a rib is not good as it it breaks or falls off at any speed in a seaway. At B&G prices, replacement like for like is not a sensible option.

Welcome to RIBnet.

Try calling Datayacht in Lymington, I hear they are very good and are a mobile service.
