Help needed wiring trim gauge !

Does anyone know what wire to pick up for the trim sender? is it from the engine or control harness ?
The engine is Mercury 40 hp two stroke year 2000 and and the control is also mercury.
The six wires coming out of the control into the plug for the harness are black, brown/blue, black/white, grey, purple and brown on its own. I know the grey is for the tacho
The trim gauge is Quicksilver

Have you got a trim sender on the motor? Some smaller engines don't.

There should be a plug coming out of the control box for the tacho.

Now having looked closer I don't think it has.
The blue and green wire from the power trim pump motor goes into two boxes that look like relays both marked as Siemens VF4-35f11-Z07, the green into one and the blue into the other, these must be trim in and trim out.
The plug that the green goes into has a red, two blacks and comes out as a green/white and the plug that the blue goes into has a red, two blacks and comes out as a blue/white.
Then they go to the main wire harness plug and go in at the side of the main plug. There is also a brown and a black/white coming out as well that are not connected to anything.
