Has anyone got any feed back on these units, other than they are hellishly expensive? I am looking for a unit that is capable of side imaging, and it seems like these are the only fishfinders available with side scanning features, short of going to a traditional towfish set up. Wreck diving purposes are my primary needs.

I nearly bid for one on Ebay which went for $400 which seemed very inexpensive. I was hoping to see one at the boat show next month to see if they are as good as some users think in the US. It does not seem to have been a popular model in the UK. I didn't go for it because I thought it would be better value to go for the bigger model as it will take the Platinum range of charts which the smaller model does not.

There are a few bass fishing forums which seem to have some good bits of user info. I haven't spent long reading them but it seems it's in a bit of a niche.

There was an update to the transducer that allows it to be used deeper than the original spec.
