Lcx-27c

I have bought the lowrance LCX-27C and the Navionics Gold XL3 maps.

Can anybody help how I can duplicate the SD card with the Navionics Gold maps. I tried duplicating the contents but it does not work. I heard that you have to register the SD card.

Is there a PC software I can use to view/print the navionics maps. I have been told that I can only use the lcx 19c demo software (just like the device) with the SD card in the Lowrance reader to view the maps.

I have the same unit great unit but what you have been told is correct! Make sure you don't copy or try to remove information from your Map SD card to will self destruct, wont be readable.

You can't copy the cards (for obvious licensing reasons) but you can access them using the Navionics NavPlanner package which comes with its own card reader as well. You can put waypoints etc on with this package.
Around £115 for the lot.

Download the free LCX-27C emulator off the Lowrance site and buy yourself the Lowrance LEI card reader circa £40 and your sorted.
