LED courtesy lights? Min cut-out 4.25" x 2.25"

Hi all,
Helping out a friend replace old broken courtesy lights. Would like to replace with LED.

The issue is that the cutout of the previous ones were 4.25" (wide) x 2.25" (high) - Each end is rounded (it's not a rectangle cut-out) and this is the max cut-out size.

So, we need something at least this size! Can anyone assist? I've been searching like mad and coming up with nothing

Welcome back Alt - Mollers was askin' for ya. He's MIA too ATM...

Anyway - I have a similar land based problem and have had success removing the workings from an LED unit and grafted them into the old incandescent fittings - worked fairly well, IMO. May not suit your application tho!

Hows things?!

Jesus Mollers... that name rings a bell?? Forum troll, IIRC?

Yes, that is an option. BUT, the old surrounds are manky, we'd love to just replace the whole lot. It's not the LED factor more that we need to replace the damn housing!

Dull. Nothing wrong with your memory

"Dirk Diggler" is the man to ask about posh marine fittings - he's our last gentleman's yacht outfitter - the rest are all about the carbon and the bouncy seats. If he draws a blank then obviously there's the option of doing some nice CNC cut blankers and setting a new fitting into them - do them right and they'll look pukka.

Might get down your way this summer - they tell me the Whest is Awake. Guessing you're still cutting up fly fishermen on the Lower Corrib?

Worst case we'll make a white blank (it's a white hull) and work on that. Not ideal but it'd do.

Come to the Corrib anytime, few active users down here
