Lowrance 3g radar question

Does anyone here have experience with the lawrance point 1 gps antenna.
I am wondering how well it works for radar overlay.
I have hds touch,3g in 7m rib.

i got the same setup but don't have enough hours on it to give you a decent answer. The one or two times I used it the radar overlays and the land on the chart were in perfect alignment....

Lowrance 3g radar question

I have the Simrad version of the GPS/glonass antenna. It works reasonably well for the Radar Heading ( Simrad Broadband Radar 4g) and very well as a Positioning system. It is 10 Herz, uses two satellite constellations.

We had difficulties with the antenna calibration, we made a lot of turns and circulations before understood how to calibrate it. Now we have the radar overlay if we need it. I dislike the overlay and want to use a stand alone radar and want to install a second MFD for radar.
