Lowrance HDS Wake Up

I have two new Lowrance HDS units that I am in the process of installing.

I have quick question and wanted to know if anyone on here knows the answers before I speak with Lowrance.

On the HDS power harness, it has a yellow wire, that's down as a wake up function- I wanted to use this function so that I could wake both units up when I power one unit up - its says join these together, but nothing happens when I join the two yellows together.

Hi Steve

The manual is not very clear on the use of the yellow "wake up" wires but it seems to be for waking up devices that do not have a power switch such as Network hubs, radar and broadband sounder hubs. To turn these devices on when a display unit is turned on.

Gutted, I guessed this would be the case but thought it would have been cool if they power synced.

It is-the yellow wire on mine wakes up the sidescan unit.
