Lowrance mapcreate 6

Does anyone have any knowledge of this software or how to create a map?

I'm looking for a map for a Lowrance lcX-15mt Chartplottter as it's missing! According to the manual the card is a MMC type.

Any advice would be more than welcome - beer tokens waiting

I seem to think that mapcreate only covered the US. I've had a couple of the Lcx series & I had to buy the charts pre programmed onto the mmc cards which are very similar to SD cards, I think that they are interchangeable. I've got a couple of old mmc cards kicking about at home somewhere. It's a long time since I had the Lowrance units (top quality kit btw & very user friendly IMHO, I miss it) so the details are a bit fuzzy. I'm away from home at the mo but when I get back I'll dig out what I've got.

Physically an SD is the same as an MMC but an MMC reader will not read an SD card whereas an SD card reader will read an MMC card...if that makes sense...
