Marine audio

Just bought a RIB and like the idea of fitting a marine stereo on the console with 2 or 4 speakers.
Is this wise simple and affordable?? Has anyone got experience of this?

Save yourself a lot a faff and money by getting one of these - JBL Charge | Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with USB Charger | JBL US

I was skeptical at first but blown away at the bass and the volume.

Plus no wiring, or cutting holes in your console for head units and speakers!

Agree with Biff on this one, and I bought this kit which you won't find a better price for it and it will stream from iPhone or any other smart phone

I want the Sonic Hub! Looks like a good bit of kit as I already have the HDS kit.

Avoid Aquatic AV, I had two units both suffered hair line cracking of control panel after about 1 year.

Fusion now fitted very happy with it.

Careful of where you place the speakers if you have a compass mounted and use the compass. Also Fusion do a sub woofer, I bought one and its still in box pending going on ebay, I went to fit it and spotted my compass moving even before I stepped onboard, too big a magnet.

If you like listening to the fm radio you might want to think about buying a Antanea splitter, soem can split the VHF, AIS and FM signal through one bit of kit so you can use your main VHF antanae for all three.

We use a Fusion system and generally very happy with it.
We go through speakers at the rate of probably one a year and the head unit is usually good for about 3 years. However, ours is used daily for about 7 months of the year and really does get used heavily.
