McMurdo Fast Find Registration
I wanted to ask if anyone has recently purchased and registered a McMurdo Fast Find.
I did mine on-line 17th Nov, so about 6 weeks and I havent had any confirmation or sticker through the post?

The CG are snowed under with these things. Have you received an email from them? I changed some details on mine in the spring and got an email back fairly quickly. The paperwork was a long time coming...

I was the same I register online two weeks ago. No email or text to advise delay. If there that many I think they should have an auto response to advise.

They ain't doing that well at the mo I got 2 PLBs done recently but not the EPIRB sent them a couple of emails but nothing

Do these things go via the solent new headquarters for coastguard ? Sounds like issues ith the CG66 form as well, maybe they having some issues at the moment. I did notice on Saturday someone had an open mic on channel 16 which was open the entire time I was out and about (not me) so about 4 hours and didnt hear anything from solent coastguard to tell people to check there VHF sets which usually did happen in the old days.

Yep Falmouth to register EPIRB, also its useless the CG trying to call someone who is transmitting Carrier!! after all the Radio in in Transmit and not RX !!!!

CG Have been having problems for a while now.
I registered my PB in 2013 and had delays then.
All registered now.

I sent them a email for an update. Got a reply this morning.
Looks like they may be having problems, so will have to call them.

Registered our epirb late last year. Had to wait ages for the paperwork. A phone call got them moving in Falmouth!

I just called them down in Falmouth, and they haven't had my registration - they say they had some system errors at the time of my registration.

They have emailed me back now, saying they have found my details, and will process it.
Im on 8 weeks now since I did it on-line.

I really despair that this is a manual process. The crazy thing is there are people out there who would VOLUNTEER to integrate their database to the web but won't be able to coz its government sh@t.

While you are on this I don't know if you are aware that there was a product recall recently on the "Fastfind" model - some modification has been introduced.
It may be worth checking if you require this modification.
