Hi

Any idea why I would need one of these on my rib. Doesn't seem to be connected to anything.

Plus I can't imagine the sound is of great quality

A waterproof VHF radio extension speaker... can be hard wired but I think they came with a decent length of lead and 3.5mm jack on the end.

It is as said, a Loudsqueeker for the VHF. They were a POS and corroded away rapidly.

Waste of space. I actually prefer to use the speaker built into the mike on Icoms, especially if it's windy.
