Navionics card not recognised

Our Lowrance LS-332 has stopped reading our Navionics card.

Can a card "go bad". How do I check?

Some users on here seem to have success with a "factory reset"

RIBase
If your card is really duff, you can do the following.
Ring up Navionics.
Tell them you suspect your card has gone duff.
They will charge you (several hundred of your pounds) and then post you a new card (and an UP-TO-DATE NEW ONE at that!).
You send your card back to them.
They examine it (or probably not, as I NEVER checked my returns-too expensive to check each return and too cheap to replace anyway), confirm its duff (cough, cough) and re-credit you with the whole amount.

This way you pay for the postage but end up with an up-to-date card.
Simples!

I had that.

Have you cleaned the contacts? Also if yours has a similar card slot to mine, power down and try to pul lthe contact springs out from the surface with the end of a match might also help.

While the card is out see if you can see the files on a PC - you wont be able to see the map etc, but if the card reads OK - you know the electronic bits are OK.
