Navionics updates

Hi all,

I’ve picked up a navionics chart for my plotter 2nd hand but I’m not sure if it’s worth subscribing to the updates. I’m not sure how old the card is or whether or not it was ever updated.

It’s a platinum xl chart so has the sonar overlays as well so it will work Perfectly with my simrad go7.

I think the update subscription is over £80 so I was wondering if many people use it or can you still download charts for your area without subscribing?
