Navman 5600 not talking to 7100 VHF

Hi, I am sure this has been covered before but I am struggling. I cannot get my Navman 5600 Tracker Chartplotter to talk and send Lat Long to my 7100 DSC Radio. I have recently replaced the radio so it is new. I have followed the wiring diagram below but it still does not work. Is this diagram correct, I know Navman are not the best at putting out accurate instructions! Do you really not need the Black from the VHF etc.... Thanks... I have been getting a few more grey hairs over this one!!

Navman 7100

Wiring looks correct - have you set the GPS to send NMEA data out (in the Comms page)

I seem to remember having the same problem with my Navman fuel flow computer. Basically the colours of the 2 NMEA wires was wrong in the manual............

Try swapping the nmea + and - wires around - it won't hurt anything.
