Navman

I find the units excellent however we are on our second 4200 and our second 5600 is currently back with Plastimo.I can absolutley say Plastimo have been very good to deal with on the ball and no quibbles, our probs so far seem to be moisture related despite IP 67 ratings. This may just be teething problems with seals etc the , electronics worked well and we had no user problems, we may be just unlucky, it wouldnt turn me off Navman as I said the warranty has been honoured and Plastimo have looked after us thus far.Maybe if there was no backup and we experienced different problems not just moisture, I wouldnt recomend the stuff, but I am happy to go Navman again in the morning ,I still think its good gear having read the Garmin post its not just Navman stuff that has presented problems,Its a harsh harsh environment for electronics no doubt Navman also provide a two year warranty this also gives me confidence with the stuff.

Had a Plastimo fuel flow meter fitted until I washed the boat down with the hose pipe. Sent it back to the importer and after a bit of a wait Golden Arrow in Poole wrote it off and Plastimo replaced it. I am sure it said waterproof on the box but clearly not. Being more careful with the second one it has performed faultlessly for two years now. Yes I would buy another, really useful bit of kit.

I have the Fish 4100 with fuel flow kit. Great piece of kit with no problems so far.
