New garmin cartography

Hi

Does anyone out there know when the release date is for the new garmin g2 maps. Will i have to buy brand new cards, or swap them with garmin.

Some time in the summer. Apparently they have had trouble getting the plane up to take the aerial photos due to good old British weather.

I suspect there will be an upgrade path.

Also be aware that g2 is only compatible with the newer chart plotters.

Well getting a new chartplotter/sounder for the new boat and the new charts would be good to go with it but want it soon so i'll probably just wait
