novice here with simple electrics question

My boat has a red key by the battery for switching off the electrics. When dealer showed me he did a quarter turn & removed key, so none of the electrics worked when boat is left.
I now find I cant shut it off, I've tried pressing in and turning both ways, I can get the key out but cant shut the electrics off?? Thanks, Ivan

It sounds like a faulty isolator switch, The red key pushes the centre of the switch in, take the key out and it should return out. yours sound like it is stuck. Get a new one, they are about a £5
