Pacific aerial white cap
Unlikely I know but does anyone have / know where I could get a replacement white cap for a pacific VHF aerial?
It is a P6003.
Not sure I can really contact Pacific themselves, postage from NZ would be so expensive
Edit: to be clear, not the weather cap for the base but the little white cap on the top of the antenna

Find a shop that ships rods and such. They often use vinyl "CapLugs" that make a nice tip cover.

Possibly not the 'right' solution, but we lost one of those and I ended up temporarily putting a little bit of adhesive lined heat shrink on top, pinching the end together to seal.... Its still like it years on

Good idea. Not expensive either. Will look into that but because it is a seamaster not a pro the aerial can't be removed from the boat so will have to use inverter to power soldering iron from the battery..

Buy a gas soldering iron.Halfrauds sell them-about 17 quid IIRC.
I've got one, it's invaluable for fiddly jobs as its much smaller than a normal iron.

Hum. I was about to suggest that I got my Pacific from Channel Ribs and to try them, but I've just finished reading the 'extensive' thread elsewhere on here (hadn't been on RIBnet much lately). If you find another decent supplier for the Pacific stuff, can you post on here. I could do with something else.

15 years time and that's exactly what we'll be doing. Buying everything online, downloading it, then printing it at home on a 3d printer. I reckon 15 years is reasonable for a small plastic thing like this, perhaps 25 for shoes, computers, clothing, etc etc?

Incidentally, where's my engraved Osprey plaque? Or is that pending a 3D printer too?

I was thinking more of "Hey, can I have one or two of those? You know, as a sample... To see if I need to buy a lot of a thousand of them."
