Quicksilver Remote Control wiring diagram

One of the engines has developed a problem, as soon as the IGN key is turned on the fuse blows. Narrowed it down to the control box, possibly faulty barrel but before I shell out for a new one I want to check it with meter first.

I need to pin out and wiring diagrams, any ideas?

I'm probably going to need a supplier for the barrel too if anyone knows one.

Cheers.

I have soft copy of a manual for Mariner 45-60's of the early 90's 2-stroke variety which includes wiring diagrams for the remotes if that would help but what age/type are yours?

My manual is for engine numbers
United States . . . . . . . 0D000750 and Above
Belgium . . . . . . . . . . . 09671687 and Above

although "and above" presumably meant up as far as the latest engine built at the time the manual was published, not until 2014....

If it's any use, and if I can make the attachment work, here's the diagram for the remote with electric start....
