Has anyone got any advice on this, I am in the same position. I know most passive radar refelctors are not much use, so do I just buy a tube type one and fit under the VHF antenna, or I was going to buy a tri lens one and mount it on the A-frame next to the antenna. Will the tri lens next to the antenna cause interference?

As a general rule mount vertically and as high as possible.

I'm not sure how the co-location of the aerial and reflector would affect it.

im not aware of any problems as far as vhf is concerned. tube type are pretty useless and break very easily! currently got a glomex 230 midi which may look like a pedal dustbin but is solid and i know it works - it even doubles up as a mounting point for my gopro.

One think to check would be make sure it doesn't obscure your steaming light.
