Raymarine Axiom 9 - Transducer Connectivity

I had a new Axiom 9 fitted couple of months back, but due to delays on delivery the in-hull transducer took longer to arrive. I recently fitted the transducer myself and connection to the chart plotter was a simple plug-and-play connection.

I haven't had the boat back in the water yet, but the transducer isn't giving a reading on the trailer, is this normal? does it need to be in the water to give a reading?

I cant see any settings or software adjustments on the Axiom 9, and when i check the software page for connected devices its showing the transducer.

just checking if anyone knows, cant see anything obvious from the Axiom downloads that may highlight having to 'enable' the transducer via the software.

thanks

You wouldn’t normally get a trace unless the boat is in the water. You may also have to set the transducer model in the settings in the Axiom. Also check there aren’t any software updates for the MFD.
