Raymarine DS500x trouble

Hey guys
I have a ray DS500x that does not display any depth.
I have cleaned connections, soft and hard reset unit, and traced wire for any kinked wire or interference. Curious if its the p58 transducer. And if I should bite the bullet and purchase a new 100 dollar triducer.
Anyone have any ideas or solutions?!
Thanks

RIBase
Grab hold of the transducer if you can. You'll feel if it's working.

it clicks but

I could hear it clicking but it was a steady click click click then like a shuffle of clicks and so on. And I had to have my ear directly on the transducer, it was pretty faint sound, in a quiet garage. When I move it up and down on mount Ican hear something like glass moving within... could it be broken?

My DS500x did that - the head unit was FUBAR. My triducer was clicking too but just dashes showing on the display. Ray did me a good deal on an upgrade. That was a few years back however - maybe 2009...

In my case, yes. It powered up and fired the ducer, but didn't show a depth figure.

Hey all.
I went ahead and bought a new airmar p58 triducer. Hooked it up to the main unit and it actually gave a reading and clicked loudly and I could actually feel the ducer pulse, unlike the old one I had to press my ear to, to hear very quiet chatter. I will post after this next weekend how it performs on the water on opener.
