Re Wire

Hi
Does anyone know a ball park price for rewiring a Ribcraft 585 and can you recommend anyone in the Christchurch area who could do the work.

That’s a “how long is a piece string” question tbh. It depends entirely on what kit you have installed, the quality of the new kit you use, cheap ebay tat, non-tinned cable at one end, to British made tinned copper cable & Blue Sea accessories at the other. The job will only be as good as the person who does it. I’d shop around and take a good look at examples of the prospective artisans work. Be suspicious of anything that sounds cheap.

Sage advice. Just testing the water at the moment. Boat fully operational so possibly a nice to do job at some point to incorporate some upgrades.

To do a proper job takes time, the labour will be more than the components. It’s one job that you could probably have a shot at yourself, if you have the time.

I often find doing a half baked effort isn't that much quicker!
