Recommend a good plotter/sounder

Hi there,

I have a smallish rib and am looking for a compact/cost effective sounder/plotter.

I used to have a Garmin 178C on my old boat, but wondered what you guys used/recommended?

Thanks

Thanks Kerny

Garmin's 451 now comes with all of the charts for the British Isles pre-loaded, since doing this they have been struggling to keep up with demand!

Prices start at 299 for the non sonar version.

The Monster's version has a high resolution 5" screen, while the 451 has a 4" screen.

One thing I forgot to say is consider if you might ever want to use Lowrance's Structure Scan. I didn't, and now I want that too, if I had bought a Lowrance plotter I could have used that as a head unit.
