Recommend me some marine stereo speakers please?
I've got that Poly Planar unit to fit and haven't decided on speakers yet. Any recommendations that won't interfere with the compass? There seems to be an awful lot for sale that are just described as 'waterproof' rather than 'Marine', making me wonder if North will just end up being the closest speaker.
I don't really want to go down the big amp/wakeboard tower speakers on the A-frame route as it just looks chav. I realise I may have to fit an amp to make it audible over the opti at full chat.

I fitted a pair of Fusion 6" to my console. They're fine being driven direct by the head unit and plenty loud enough when going along. I wouldn't get too carried away looking for audio perfection as whatever speakers you have, there's so much ambient noise and vibration that you're not going to get audiophile quality whilst cruising.
It's the treble that gets lost so if I had the opportunity I'd mount a small pair of tweeters on the console or perhaps on the A-frame and use the mains as a kind of sub only.

What's going on here Noz?!! Big white posing machine, speakers in ribs. You gonna tell us that you're 'batting' for the other side next?

Don't be silly, I've got an Optimax. Everyone knows it's 4 stroke Suzuki owners that do that

Thanks. I was looking at some that came with separate tweeters, but I'm damned if I can find them again!
Ideally I'd like a pair of 6x9s with separate tweeters but I think I could be a bit limited on space to mount them.

Another vote for Fushion.
Had ours 2 years and have taken all sorts of abuse and still going strong.
