Chased it up today. Hope to get a price tomorrow . . .
Anyone who needs one quickly can order direct from Durrocom, but I hope we'll get a deal that makes it worth the wait.

OK, after much discussion the best we can get is £160 with free delivery. That is the same price as Durrocom are selling them for direct, but their price doesn't include delivery. You will also get 12 months subscription to Reeds Online Almanac (which is worth £35 on its own).
That's the best I can do, but bear in mind that we are starting from a discounted price in the first place.
One last thing, as this will be done through RIBnet there will be no VAT to reclaim. For private individuals this will make no difference, but if you are planning to put it through a VAT registered company then you're probably better off buying direct.
So, if you're up for it please place your order at the RIBnet shop now.

Cheers John, Do we get the following as stated in earlier posts?
"The RRP is £199 but there's a boat show offer of £159.99 which includes a free wind up charger, 256mg memory card, and 12 months subscription to Reeds Online Almanac (which is worth £35 on its own)."
On their website it appear we need to buy chargers? It is a shame they could not offer the 149 offer as so many were up for it but I will put my money where my mouth is

cheers for trying john, i think they're being a bit tight myself, assuming as there's no word about the windup charger that this is ommitted from the deal, it's actually gone up in price, i probaly got the same lecture at the boat show as you did about wanting to get them out on the market, i'll buy direct at least i'll get the vat, once again thanks for trying, bif

Change of plan. If anyone is still interested then PM Martin aka Malthouse at Malthouse Marine. Anyone who needs to will be able to claim the VAT back and Martin will keep trying to negotiate a better deal.

Thanks John.
Yes indeed, I am going to try and get a better deal. Either a high value bundle with the Reeds subs and charger etc, or a bare bones price for just the phone.
Either way all you guys that need a VAT receipt with have one.
(All of you who don't need a VAT receipt should start planning a Channel Crossing )

Durrocom Rugged Phone....
We have added them to our site...
http://shop.malthouse-marine.com/ind...d=227&parent=0
The full price of 174.50 is discounted by our winter sale to 136.80, you can get it down even lower by using a RIB netters discount code (PM me for one), with all of this in place and the VAT it comes to around 149 plus some postage as required.
I hope that is ok with everyone?
More details to follow on the Reeds bundle.
As for chargers we stock a very cool solar powered jobby that does more than just phones, might be worth a look.

The wind up charger is included.
I just like the idea behind the solar storage device.

Hi Jim,
We are negotiating, at the moment we have reached a point where we are retailing the Reeds Subscription in our 10% winter sale for 27 quid. The trick now is to work out a deal that adds that to the phone for only 11 pounds.

Hey Martin
Hope your well.
This phone looks really good, I do have the JCB one and have to say I love it and works really well.
On your ad on your site its says waterproof, is that your wording or theirs?
I thought it had a low IP rating thus only splashproof?
Cheers
