hello boys, yes got the phone but had one slight problem, one of the little waterproof grommets was missing, quick phonecall to durraocomm and richard said i'll bring one down to you, well you could have knocked me over, sure enough saturday the gentleman turned up sorted it out and that was that, service second to none, the phone itself is a no frills bit of kit that has some handy bits on it, the laser drives my cat mad, it's going to be good to leave on the boat, compass seems quite accurate i wouldn't go round the world with it but it will definately piont you in the right direction, the other thing is that if it's waterproof well i know it's beer proof it's also dustproof and in my game thats what has killed all my other phones, all in all worth buying

Dont forget they also do not float so I put a waterbuoy on the unit when out near or on the water. No Complaints so far with my phone, I would ask for some different tones though!!!!

No problems with mine except that if the phone is in your pocket and the * key gets pressed even with the keypad locked it puts it into meeting mode and turns off the ringer.

Right have had mine for a few weeks and on the whole am very impressed.

Have a couple of niggles and thought I would see if you guys have noticed the same.

Lack of hands free kit, can't find a car kit to work with it, did mail Durrocomm but no answer as yet.

Also if you store names and numbers it does an odd thing, if you don't sotre the number as +44 it wont come up with the name if you get a text from that person, if you do store it with +44 the name does not come up if they call, anyone else seen this or solved it?

Many thanks in advance.

Jon

Hi John - just checked mine & I dont have the same problem ion the +44 thing . Most of mine stored as simple 01 numbers & name comes up with text & calls . Is it to with phone or SIM memrory maybe ? All mine stored on SIM .

Dont use hands free as its a good reason not to speak to people ! Apart from that all good & are getting the hang of it - love the fact I dont have things I dont ever use - like the camera / bluetooth / internet etc.

Battery is not fantastic , but hey I can live with it lasting a week.

Afraid it's only dual-band according to the comparative test here:
