Reset Lowrance HDS trip data

I need some help with my HDS units, I have a 5m and 5x linked by NEMA 2k and the lowrance network.

I use the 5x to display trip data and the 5m for navigation.

I can't seem to reset the trip data on the 5x.

Anyone got any ideas

Mine isn't an HDS, but I guess the general "modus operanda" will be the same......

It's not in an obvious place - dive into the setup menu for that screen - there is (might be!) a set of optrions like "save", "change track colour" etc - one of them is "new track".

On mine starting a new track resets all the trip stuff.


This now guarantees the HDS is totally different and someone will come along & totally contradict that!

On my 8, I think it is "page button" -> Trip Calculator and then there are reset buttons there. Resetting the trail is a different screen...

I like to zero out before I start each day, and that is the most annoying thing about the unit so far.
