Rewiring my yam
All new console fitted and every thing works as it should
BUT. I can not remember should buzzer sound when first turned on ? As it does not and I am very confident it's wired correctly,
Mi know mercs and mariners do,,, can not think if this originally did or not,,

How old is the engine?
The really old ones all the "alarm" functions were just NO (Normally open) switches closed by high temp / low level etc that connected the earth side of the buzzer to the chassis, hence no buzzing unless something weas wrong.
Down side to that system of course is no bzzing if the wire disconnects, regardless of the switch state! u

1996 Yam 50 4 stroke doesn't either, even with the kill cord out, although the dealer who services my RIB seems to think there should be.
