On a small boat like a RIB wouldn't a hand held be a better option?

You could keep it in a bracket by the console ready for instant use.

think as codders said handheld for a small boat,it maybe ok on a still sea with a large boat but i can just imagine trying to keep it on something in a lumpy sea .

guys I have a handheld but cannot find a suitable bracket to fix to my consul grab handle. Any ideas?
